Batter Days, Chapter 16

Too-Much-Talk Radio

Deep within The Tunnels, trouble is brewing. Captain Broughha and the rest of the Magenta Fedoras have made it to the library. They are searching for the books that detail everything about the amazing spheres that power every aspect of the underground facility. But Broughha, Chief and 10 Toes soon get some more information, from an unlikely source. Meanwhile, Kipper and Mulligan speak with Goggles, as the convoy of artists continues to pursue Princess.

Batter Days, Chapter 15

Kipper loses control

Princess, the 1976 Tiara Megacoach tri-axle former school bus, is still headed away from Chasm Valley on a mission. Fortunately for Cindy and Detective Haartte, General Kalamity left his gear on board the bus. They find his special long-range walkie talkie and are able to contact the rest of the team in The Tunnels. They learn that Princess is being followed! A group of artists, driving every sort of weird, rickety vehicle, have decided to follow Princess. Each of them hope to be the one to locate the Waffle Batter sphere. Among the pursuing party are Kipper and Mulligan, aboard their motorcycle and sidecar, nicknamed Old Porcupine.

Batter Days, Chapter 14

Berating Buzz

It’s time to get back to the search for the Waffle Batter sphere. As Act II opens, Cindy and Detective Haartte are racing out of Chasm Valley. Meanwhile, Captain Broughha and the rest of the Magenta Fedoras are trying to make their way into The Tunnels. They are blocked by all the artists with motorized contraptions trying to get out of the underground passageways. What a mess! And Buzz “Scoop” Crackerjack Thomas is to blame for half the chaos. He made the mistake of thinking people had betrayed him, so he let everyone in The Tunnels know about the golden sphere.

Lending their voices in this episode include Bonnie Kenderdine as Cindy and Chief; Paul Barrie, from the A Window to the Magic podcast (windowtothemagic.com), as 10 Toes; Kreg Steppe, from the Technorama podcast (chuckchat.com/technorama) and The Topic is Trek podcast (thetopicistrek.com), as the Soldier; and Gary J. Batter Days, Chapter 13

Unrelated to anything

With Act I over and Act II yet to begin, that leaves us at intermission. But don’t go running to the lobby for overpriced drinks and snacks just yet. We’re giving you an interlude. A strange interlude. Clinton has invited Bonnie to join him in performing a classic comedy routine. Naturally, things will not go well. But that’s half the fun, isn’t it? After you have a listen, feel free to head to the concession stand.

Lending their voices in this episode are Bonnie Kenderdine as herself and Gary J. Chambers (GaryJChambersVO.com) as the Narrator.

Going for the gold

The end of Act I has arrived. With the fate of The Tunnnels on the line, the soldier has the KRULR, better known simply as “Princess,” ready to roll. The bus will take the gang in search of the Waffle Batter sphere. But Cindy is reluctant to leave. It seems she has made a promise that she’s determined to keep. Elsewhere in The Tunnels, Buzz “Scoop” Crackerjack Thomas is busy with his own extremely over-complicated task. And Old Man Spooner makes a shocking discovery that could change his whole world. As if that were not enough, just outside The Tunnels, Captain Broughha continues to behave in a strange manner, much to the dismay of his fellow Magenta Fedoras, Chief and 10 Toes.
