The nomination period has begun over at The Podcast Awards. Both listeners and podcasters can nominate their favorite shows in a variety of categories. Nominations are open until July 15th. And you can make the same (or different) nominations once a day. I’d be honored if you were to consider nominating comedy4cast in the “comedy” category.
comedy4cast #072: Four Minutes or Bust

Brian Kelley from RoughMix sends in an audio file that gets me to thinking about this whole four minute thing.
> RoughMix with Brian Kelley
FUN FACTS:
Sure enough, this episode started out well over four minutes long! It took quite a while to chop it back down. Is hitting the four-minute mark exactly on the nose super important? I mean, I usually come fairly close, don’t I? Why not drop me anemail or call the listener line at (206)333-1339 with your thoughts?
comedy4cast #071: Attack of the Disneyland Touring Plan
Podcast: Play in new window | Download
I’m planning our next trip to Disneyland. Will the family survive? In this episode you’ll get a sneak peak at the answer.
FUN FACTS:
After our son was born, our first trip to a Disney theme park was a bit of a disaster. I tend to go, go, go. But you can’t really do that with a young child in tow. If you travel with the family and you like to be on the move all day, take my advice: do things as a group in the morning, then send the rest of your party off to relax at the pool while you carry on in the park. Everyone will be much happier.
comedy4cast #070: The New Used Car
Podcast: Play in new window | Download
I’ve traded in my Ford Taurus for a PT Cruiser. Buckle up. It’s time for a guided tour and a test drive. Please keep your arms and legs inside the vehicle at all times.
FUN FACTS:
To record this episode, I did not prepare a script in advance. I simply took my portable recorder (iRiver 899) out to the car and began thinking up “bits.” At one point I was driving down the street, recording a few lines and wearing headphones. Suddenly I realized that what I was doing was either illegal or gave the impression that I was a private investigator (or both).
comedy4cast #069: Groucho’s Commencement Hijinks
Podcast: Play in new window | Download
If Groucho, Harpo and Chico Marx were at a graduation ceremony this year, it might go something like this.
FUN FACT:
Years ago I did a similar Marx Brothers skit as a promo commercial for my college radio station. The big difference is that the old skit used a lot of actual Marx Brothers dialog. This new parody is mostly original material. Enjoy! And don’t forget the wacky brothers who started it all.
