We’re doing it again! DragonCon 2015

Pack your bags and join us for a weekend of amazing things. Here’s a list of what we will (officially) be up to at DragonCon:

Friday, September 4

2:30pm #PizzaFriday LIVE! lunch at the Mellow Mushroom
DragonCon can’t stop the #PizzaFriday excitement, it can only make it better. If you’re attending the Podcasting Track kickoff session, you can can join Clinton as he walks to the restaurant. Or, meet us at the Mellow Mushroom, 400 West Peachtree Street at 2:30pm (forgive us we’re a bit late, it’s a long walk!). Be sure to follow comedy4cast on Twitter for any last-minute updates.

5:30pm comedy4cast and Technorama Super Extravaganza
Our combined show worked out so well last year, we’re doing it again! And this year the fun begins at 5:30pm, giving you a chance to see the show then go off and party the night away. Don’t be late. We have plenty of surprises in store. Make your way to the Podcasting track, Room 203 of the Hilton (second floor, right near the escalators).

Saturday, September 5

10:00am 13th Annual Dragon Con Parade
You will need to stay until the very end of the parade to see us. But relax, while you wait you can see everything from Star Wars Stormtroopers to Star Trek Redshirts, Wizards to Zombies, Superheros and Guests of Honor. It promises to be a great time. Note that the parade route is new this year. Consult your program guide and plan accordingly.

Sunday, September 6

5:30pm 2015 Parsec Awards
comedy4cast is honored to be a finalist for the Best Speculative Fiction Comedy/Parody Podcast award. Come and cheer us on (and all the other great podcasts). While it’s an honor to be nominated, perhaps we will win this year. Regardless, this event is always a fun time. The awards ceremony will be held in the Regency V Ballroom at the Hyatt.

2:30pm #PizzaFriday lunch at the Mellow Mushroom
Yup, the tradition continues. After all, #PizzaFriday is a comedy4cast essential! But Clinton can’t miss the Podcasting track kick-off panel. So, lunch will be after that session. Meet on the sidewalk outside the Peachtree Street entrance to the Hyatt Regency (the doors just past the hotel’s “Sway” restaurant) at 2:30pm for a short walk over to the Mellow Mushroom, 400 West Peachtree Street. Be sure to follow comedy4cast on Twitter for updates.

First, a word of thanks:

To the fans of comedy4cast who nominated us for a Podcast Award, thank you! You’re the best. And I’m happy to report that we’ve made it to the finals in the Comedy category. This is a category filled with names like Adam Carolla, Marc Maron and friend of the show, Scott Johnson. It’s amazing to see our little comedy show in amongst those giants!

Now the hard(er) part – voting.

The way the Podcast Awards works, once the finalists are chosen, there’s a 15 day voting period (November 1 thru November 15). People can vote once a day. In fact, it’s strongly encouraged. The finalist with the most votes wins.

I will try to walk that fine line between gentle reminders and outright begging. I trust you will tell me when it gets annoying. However, since our fans were nice enough to nominate us, I want to strongly encourage people to vote for us.
